DIY Creepy Tree (Halloween Decor)

You’ll Need:

• 12″ Concrete Tube
• Spray Foam (4-5 cans) – Buy it here
• Orange or Purple Lights
• Brown Spray Paint (2 cans)
• Tree branches or something similar
• Duct Tape
• Brown craft paint & Sponge

Directions:

1. Draw a face on your concrete tube (Search ideas here) Also add some cutouts around the top to make it jagged.
2. Cut out those shapes with a handsaw or knife
3. Cut an X on both sides of the concrete tube for the twig arms
4. Add your tree branches and place tape on the inside and outside around the branches.
5.  Begin adding spray foam to your tube in long strips so it looks like bark. Also add a very small amount to your arms
6. Allow to dry for 8 hours
7. Cut off any access foam that built up around the cutouts on top and around the face.
8. Begin spray painting your tree brown, I used “Espresso”.
9. Using watered down light brown craft paint, (just a bit lighter brown than your spray paint) begin wiping the tree avoiding any cracks.
10. Gently dap off any access with a paper towel
11. Tape a string of lights to the inside of the tube and you’re done!
