Grow Your Garden With Egg Shells

My husband and I started our garden and I decided to start saving our egg shells to add to our garden and lowers.  Crushed eggshells have about 96% calcium carbonate, this adds a nutrient that will be very being beneficial to your plants.

How to prepare your egg shells

  1. Save your egg shells when you’re done with them.  You’ll want to rinse them out thoroughly.
  2. Place them face down on a paper towel so they can drain and dry out.
  3. Once they are completely dry, add them to a coffee grinder or food processer to turn them into powder.

How To Use Eggshells in My Garden?

There are a few ways you can use these.  One is when you first start to plant, you can sprinkle the shell powder inside the holes before planting.  You can also sprinkle the powder to your soil at the base of your veggies, fruit and flowers.
