How To Dye Your Shoes To A Different Color | Life Hack!

I have really been wanting a pair of burgundy converse but these shoes are getting expensive. I found a pink pair on clearance for $20 and thought I might be able to dye them instead. They actually turned out great and I wanted to share with you how I did it.
How To Dye Your Shoes To A Different Color 1. Remove the laces from your shoes 2. Apply Vaseline to the rubber parts of your shoes. DO NOT get the Vaseline on the material of the shoes (this is important). 3. Fill your sink or a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. 4. Add 1 TBS of detergent and 3/4 cup of table salt to your water. 5. In another sink or bucket add your dye (follow directions on dye). 6. Soak one of your shoes into the warm salt water until saturated. 7. Now immediately dunk your shoe into the dye water and leave it in for a short or long period of time, depending on what color you’re looking for. I went from Pink to Burgundy so I only left it in for about 5-10 seconds. 8. Now place the shoe back in the warm water and rinse for a few minutes. Empty the water and re-fill again until the dye is fully rinsed out (the water should be clear). 9. Place the shoe outside (if the weather is warm) or somewhere warm until it dries (typically takes 24 hours). 10. Re-lace your shoe and you’re done!
