Brand Name Products Sold at Costco

If you love saving money without sacrificing quality, shopping at Costco is one of the smartest things you can do. What many shoppers don’t realize is that some of Costco’s products are actually made by well-known name brands—just sold under different labels like Kirkland Signature.

That means you could be getting the same (or better) quality as big brands—at a fraction of the price.

In this post, I’m sharing brand name products sold at Costco, including popular items that are rumored or confirmed to be made by major companies. If you’re trying to stretch your grocery budget, this list will completely change how you shop.

Starbucks: Kirkland Signature Coffee

One of Costco’s best-kept “secrets” is that Starbucks roasts several of their flagship private-label coffees. You can identify these by looking for the phrase “Custom Roasted by Starbucks” on the bag. Kirkland Signature House Blend: This is the most famous example.

Duracell: Kirkland Signature Batteries

Costco maintains a strong partnership with Duracell, offering their name-brand batteries in bulk while also utilizing Duracell as the manufacturer for their private-label Kirkland Signature batteries.  This was famously confirmed by Costco’s former CEO, Craig Jelinek, in a 2016 interview.

Jelly Belly: Kirkland Signature Jelly Beans

Costco’s partnership with the Jelly Belly Candy Company is one of its longest-running and most popular confectionery collaborations. You can find these gourmet jelly beans sold both under the official Jelly Belly brand and as a co-branded Kirkland Signature item

Warren motor oil: Kirkland Signature Full Synthetic SAE 5W-30

Kirkland Signature motor oil, which is famously manufactured by Highline Warren (formerly Warren Distribution), is one of Costco’s best-regarded private-label automotive products. Highline Warren is the largest private-label engine oil manufacturer in North America. They produce identical or nearly identical formulations for several other major brands, including AmazonBasics, Walmart’s SuperTech, and their own in-house brand, Mag 1.

Bumble Bee: Kirkland Signature Tuna

Bumble Bee is the primary manufacturer behind Costco’s private-label Kirkland Signature Solid White Albacore Tuna. This partnership, established in 2002, was created specifically to produce a higher-quality, “meatier” canned tuna that differs from standard supermarket offerings.

Diamond Naturals: Kirkland Signature Pet Food

Diamond Pet Foods is the exclusive manufacturer of Costco’s private-label Kirkland Signature dog food.  While they are made by the same company in the same facilities, the recipes are slightly different. If your dog does well on Diamond Naturals, they will likely have a similar experience with the corresponding Kirkland Signature variety.

Pureology: Kirkland Signature Moisture Haircare

For years, the Kirkland Signature Moisture line has been the subject of rumors suggesting it is a private-label version of Pureology Hydrate. While independent ingredient comparisons show they are not identical, they are often produced by the same high-end contract manufacturers. Many users report nearly identical results, though some note the Kirkland version is slightly heavier or has a different scent.

Chinet: Kirkland Signature Chinet Plastic Red Cups

For over two decades, Costco has collaborated with Chinet to produce several of its signature disposables. The most iconic product from this alliance is the Kirkland Signature Chinet “The Big Red Cup,” a co-branded staple recognized as the premier choice for durable, high-capacity plastic cups.

Niagara: Kirkland Signature Purified Bottled Water

Kirkland Signature bottled water is one of the most successful private-label products in Costco’s history, and it is confirmed to be manufactured by Niagara Bottling, LLC. As the largest private-label bottled water company in North America, Niagara produces water for several major retailers, meaning the water you find at Costco is often virtually identical to the bottled water sold at Walmart (Great Value), Target (Good & Gather), and 7-Eleven.

Humboldt Creamery Ice Cream: Kirkland Super Premium Vanilla Ice Cream

While you may not always see “Humboldt Creamery” branding on the front of the tub, they are the exclusive producer of Kirkland Signature Super Premium Vanilla Ice Cream.

Blommer chocolate: Kirkland Milk Chocolate Almonds

If you’ve ever found yourself polishing off a container of Costco’s chocolate-covered nuts before you even pull into your driveway, you can thank the Blommer Chocolate Company. According to The Costco Connection, these Kirkland Signature treats are produced by North America’s leading cocoa processor—a family-run operation that has been perfecting its craft since 1939.

Rice honey: Kirkland Signature 100% Local Raw Unfiltered Honey

Rice’s Honey, a Colorado-based company founded in 1924, is one of the key suppliers behind Costco’s “Local” and “Regional” honey programs. While you might not always see the “Rice’s” logo on the front, they are the primary partner for several Kirkland Signature honey products.

Ocean Spray cranberry juice: Kirkland Signature Ocean Spray Cranberry Premium 100% Juice

Costco carries Ocean Spray cranberry juice primarily through a unique co-branded partnership with their private label, Kirkland Signature. This allows them to offer the quality of Ocean Spray’s cranberry bogs in larger, bulk-sized packaging.

Reynolds aluminum foil: Kirkland Signature Foodservice Foil

Costco sells Reynolds aluminum foil through a unique partnership where the brand produces the retailer’s private-label Kirkland Signature foil. In many cases, both logos appear on the same box, confirming that you are getting Reynolds-quality foil at a lower Costco price point.

Perrigo infant formula: Kirkland Pro-Care Infant Formula

The relationship between Perrigo and Costco is one of the most significant partnerships in the infant formula industry. Perrigo Nutritionals is the exclusive manufacturer of Kirkland Signature ProCare formula, which is designed to be a high-quality, budget-friendly alternative to premium national brands like Enfamil and Similac.

Keurig Green Mountain K-Cups: Kirkland Breakfast Blend K-Cup Pod

Keurig Green Mountain is the primary manufacturer behind Costco’s private-label Kirkland Signature K-Cups. This partnership, which began in 2012, allows Costco to offer high-quality coffee pods at a significantly lower price point than name-brand alternatives.
