Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1/2 block of cream cheese 4 oz
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic 2 cloves
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can Rotel Tomatoes 10 oz.
  • ½ lb pasta shells

Method

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until fully browned. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Return the cooked meat to the pot. Stir in the taco seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, broth, milk, Rotel tomatoes, and cream cheese. Mix well until everything is combined.
  4. Increase the heat slightly and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the pasta shells and make sure they are fully submerged in the liquid. Cover and cook according to package directions, stirring halfway through to prevent sticking.
  6. Remove the lid and test the pasta. If needed, continue cooking uncovered or covered until the pasta is tender.
  7. Reduce heat to low and gradually stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Allow the pasta to sit for a few minutes to thicken. Serve warm once it reaches your desired consistency.
